Course Objectives:

  • Provide a comprehensive introduction to the motion picture industry, including its history, terminology, and structure.
  • Familiarize students with the five stages of motion picture production: Development, Pre-Production, Production Shooting, Wrap/Post-Production, and Marketing/Distribution.
  • Teach essential interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills required in the industry.
  • Highlight the importance of health, safety, and sustainable practices in film production.
  • Prepare students to read call sheets, use industry-standard radio communication, and understand set etiquette.
  • Equip participants with the knowledge necessary to comply with union and guild requirements.
