In a narrative form interweaving cliffhangers and flashbacks, the feature film "Kung Fu Juniors" depicts the commitments to Kung Fu in the Family for four generations from the Greater Bay Area (Foshan), throughout the story in their youths. The Film portrays four eras, 1925, before the Canton-Hong Kong Strike broke out, 1949, before the founding of New China, 1992, the year Hong Kong film industry reached its peak era, and impromptu speeches were delivered on the Southern Tour, and 2019, in this day and age. These Family stories present the vicissitudes of times in the Greater Bay Area over the past century, also the core values of Kung Fu to personal growth, family tradition inheritance and national identity midst society

This is a story about an ordinary family coping with immense tragedy. Seven-year-old Xiao Yun, the only child of Xue Qing and Hao Hua, dies of illness, leaving the young couple shattered.

Unable to accept the loss, Xue Qing begins caring for a cloth doll as if it were her son—dressing it in his clothes, feeding it, and playing with it. Hao Hua, though rational, is torn by her obsession. He urges her to face reality, but their constant arguments deepen the tension at home.

One day, Xue Qing meets a woman online who claims she can create lifelike dolls for grieving couples. Desperate to fill the void in her heart, Xue Qing convinces Hao Hua to agree. When the doll arrives, she regains the joy of motherhood, and Hao Hua reluctantly plays along as a father. For a time, their lives seem steadier.

Yet neighbors and friends begin to whisper. Some believe Xue Qing is losing her mind, while others suspect darker secrets behind the doll. Under this pressure, the couple’s fragile bond strains once more. Xue Qing insists the doll is her son; Hao Hua struggles to bring her back to reality.

With the support of a close friend, Hao Hua finally understands that Xue Qing’s attachment comes from her longing for hope and trust in life. After much struggle, she accepts Xiao Yun’s passing. Supported by family and her husband’s love, she rebuilds her strength, their relationship, and their faith in life.
